The first Moroccan postal stamps were emitted in 1891 .The system was reorganized
in the end of 1911. Morocco started emitting two series of postal stamps
which served the whole Morocco until 1915 . Then, with the first years of French
protectorate, as for the other french colonies, stamps bearing the name
"MOROCCO" were emitted in Arabic.
After the independence in 1956, the kingdom of Morocco got back its
postal autonomy again. Series of everyday usage were printed with the
effigy of the sovereign king of Morocco.
