Mage Knight is a miniatures wargame using collectible figures, created by WizKids, Inc. A synthesis of classic miniatures games  and of collectible card games

Mage Knight is based in an illusion reality on a continent known simply as The Land. The game of Mage Knight revolves around a dispute sparked by a revolt against the strong Atlantis Guild. Hundreds of years before this revolt lived a powerful magically-gifted individual named Tezla. Prior to Tezla's climb to ability, there were two known schools of trick in the Land: Elemental and Necromantic. Because these magic schools were diametrically opposite, it was deemed inconceivable for anyone to overcome both. Tezla, however, managed to make just that inventing a third school of magical, known as Technomancy. reliant upon a magically-infused mineral called magestone. As an outcome, the Atlantis Guild began mining the mineral and after Tezla's death the proponents of each school of trick claimed to get captured his psyche gist and discord began to organize among the three schools. Eventually, this led to the Necromantic and Elemental schools leaving Atlantis. These breakoff groups became known as the  Necropolis Sect and the Elemental League, respectively.
