Enesco began
manufacturing the Lucy & Me line of collectibles in 1978 and as a large
company with many popular lines, Enesco was able to successfully promote
Lucy's creations such as:
Lucy Bears Lucy & Me with Apple and Slate, Mrs. Pilgrim with Pumpkin,
with Umbrella, with Flower Bouquets, with Easter Baskets, with Scale,
Praying Bear plus more. Lucy & Me Christmas Figurines! - General
Figurines! - Hanging Ornaments! - Miscellaneous (Cards, Catalogs,
Chapeau Noelle, Musicals, Plates, Tins, Trinket Boxes, Thimbles,etc.)
until mid-1998 when Enesco decided to stop producing Lucy &
Me figurines, and Lucy is currently negotiating with other
companies for the continued manufacturing of paper products,
baby bedding, giftware, etc.
Melissa Kelly started the Lucy & Me Collecting Network in 1993
to help bring collectors, retailers and manufacturers together and to
help collectors locate and purchase Lucy Rigg's products.and in 1995, the first Lucy & Me Collector's Convention was held in
Omaha, Nebraska.
Lucy Bears old porcelain will be highly collectible in the
future because still made out of china and porcelain versus resin. The
newest Lucy Bears are made of Resin. |
