A  handicraft  is trade requiring skill of hand; manual occupation; handcraft and it is usually distinguished from the term arts and crafts because handcrafted items are intended to be used products for a purpose beyond simple decoration and are generally considered more traditional work, created as a necessary part of daily life,.
