A PDA is a palmtop
computers with audio capabilities that can be used as mobile phones, web
browsers, or portable media players, for calculation, clock and calendar, Internet acess via Wi-Fi, sending and receiving E-mails, video recording,
typewriting and word processing, use as an address book, making and writing on
spreadsheets, scanning bar codes, use as a radio or stereo, playing computer
games, recording survey responses, and GPS.

PDAs also have both color screens and audio capabilities, enabling them to be
used as mobile phones (smartphones), web browsers, or portable media players.
Many PDAs can access the Internet, intranets or extranets via Wi-Fi, or Wireless
Wide-Area Networks (WWANs). Many PDAs employ touch screen technology.
Handheld PC,
or H/PC it is sometimes referred to as a Palmtop.
Some run on Microsoft's Windows CE operating system, with the term
also covering Windows CE devices released by the broader commercial market.
A Pocket PC, or P/PC or PPC, is a
type of handheld-sized computer ( that runs the Microsoft
Windows Mobile OS. with capability to run on NetBSD or Linux.
Currently there are thousands of applications for handhelds adhering to the
Microsoft Pocket PC specification. Some of these
devices also include mobile phone features. Microsoft compliant Pocket PCs can
also be used with many other add-ons like GPS receivers, barcode readers, RFID
readers, and cameras.
With the advent of Windows Mobile 6. Devices without a phone are
called Windows Mobile Classic . Devices with a
phone and a touch screen are called Windows Mobile Professional.
