During the forties 20 and 50h and 1 and 2 koruny coins were
issued
The lower two denominations in bronze, the higher two in
cupro-nickel. In the fifties aluminium 1 korun coins 20 and 50h
and 5 korun coins were minted but not issued.
The Bohemian and Moravian koruna
replaced the Czechoslovak koruna at par and was replaced by the
reconstituted Czechoslovak koruna, again at par.
In 1940, zinc 10, 20 and 50 haléřů coins were introduced, followed by zinc 1
koruna in 1941. The reverse designs were very similar to the earlier
Czechoslovak coins.
In the nineties Czech f 10, 20 and 50 haléřů, 1,
2, 5, 10, 20 and 50 korun were issued. The haléřů in
aluminium, the 1, 2 and 5 korun in nickel-plated steel, the 10 korun in
copper-plated steel, the 20 korun in brass-plated steel and the 50 korun
with a brass-plated steel centre and a copper-plated steel ring. The coins all feature the Czech lion on the obverse, with the
reverse featuring the value. Sets for collectors are also issued yearly with
proof quality coins. In 2000, the 10 and 20 korun coins were minted with
different obverses to commemorate the Millennium. In the beginning coins
were minted in Hamburg then in the Czech Republic.
In the ninties Slovak 10 halierov, 5 and 20
korún, 20 and 50 halierov and 1 koruna were issued. The 10 and 20
halierov were bronze, the 50 halierov and 1 koruna cupro-nickel, the 5 korún
nickel and the 20 korún was silver. zinc 5 halierov were introduced
and aluminium replaced bronze in the 20 halierov. Aluminium 50 halierov and Silver 10 and 50 korún were introduced in 1944.
the silver content of the 10 and 20 Ks coins was reduced to 500 ‰ and
all but 5 Ks shrank in physical sizes.
