Galle was famous for his technical knowledge as well as his artistic talents. He relied upon nature for his motifs
and named his glass pieces after the plants which inspired their decoration. This new trend in glass making led the glass makers away from the former style  into the making of blown or pressed pieces enriched by cameo cutting, etching with acids, etc.Galle presence has extended beyond his origins to art crystals, Decorated glass, vases, dishes, bowls, artistic glass, decorative glass, cake plates,  glass shades, pitchers, carafes, decanters, ice buckets, bowls, gift ideas, jewelry boxes, business card holders, glass pumpkins, garden floats, glass floats, ashtrays, baskets, powder jar, temple jar, water cooler, and washing pot and hand blown glass. In the mid 1880s
he became interested in the various colors and textures of normal wood and as a result began
to create furniture which he used as yet another  medium for expression of his
artistic talent.
