The company's early successes include providing glass for the stained glass
windows
of St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City, Blenko's tableware output was largely functional
and
classical in form. Change came in 1947 with the decision to hire a full time
design director, further improved the company's importance
and reputation by directly engaging Blenko with Studio Glass. Skilled craftsmen,
and creative designs have made Blenko famous in the ancient craft of hand-blown
glass. The manufacturer's presence has extended beyond his origins to art
crystal, glass figurines, glass gifts, paperweights, Decorated glass, vases,
dishes, bowls, artistic glass, candlesticks, candle holders, oil lamps,
decorative glass, cake plates, tumblers, glass shades, pitchers,carafes,
decanters, ice buckets, bowls,
gift ideas, jewelry boxes, businesscard holders, glass pumpkins, garden
floats, glass floats, ashtrays, baskets, powder jar, temple jar, water cooler ,
washing pot and hand blown glass.
With strong interest from collectors and nationwide
exposure on television specials the company's reputation has grown to reach
new audiences . Survived recent downscaling
still enjoys a great deal of popularity.
